The Wounded Warrior Care Coordination Summit will draw leaders from across the public and private sectors with the goal of improving the recovering care coordination for wounded warriors and their families.
Care Coordinators work closely with wounded, ill or injured Service members, families and their recovery team to develop a Comprehensive Recovery Plan. This plan identifies Service member and family goals and the resources they need to achieve them, such as assistive technology, education, employment, or housing.
The summit includes focused working groups, attended by subject matter experts who will discuss and recommend enhancements to strategic wounded warrior issues requiring attention, including: education and employment; collaboration between DoD and VA recovery care coordination programs; best practices within recovery care coordination, and; wounded warrior family resilience.
