Fort Hood Soldier Finds New Career Path Through Operation Warfighter

A recent article published on the Army Web site spotlights SPC Alfred Newman, who is currently participating in an Operation Warfighter internship at the Olin E.   Currently assigned to the Warrior Transition Brigade at Fort Hood, Newman was deployed to Camp Taji, Iraq in 2008 when he sustained serious injuries. He came to the WTB in 2010 and, while his medical issues were being resolved, he heard about the OWF program and applied for an internship. Currently working in the Human Resources department for the VA, Newman believes he has found his new career.
