The Office of Warrior Care Policy’s Caregiver Resource Directory was designed specifically for the caregivers of recovering Service members, and includes information about more than 300 supportive government and non-profit organizations.
The directory is sorted by the most common, everyday needs, making it easy to use and allowing caregivers to quickly find the resources that meet their specific and personal needs.
To further support caregivers’ personal needs and preferences, the Caregiver Resource Directory is available in both print and e-versions. The e-version is web-enabled, downloadable and printable. Download it here.
The directory represents the Office of Warrior Care Policy’s ongoing commitment to supporting the caregivers of recovering Service members. As stated by Mrs. Donna K. Seymour, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Warrior Care Policy:
“Like the wounded, ill or injured Service members they care for, caregivers have made tremendous sacrifices and face heartbreaking challenges. They often give up their own careers, work long hours and still manage the household while providing loving, excellent care for their recovering hero and children. They don’t complain, and they rarely ask for help. We must anticipate caregivers’ needs and support them as they begin to shape the ‘new normal’ for their families. We must help them transition as they recovering hero transitions to civilian life.”
