The National Resource Directory (NRD) is temporarily offline…

The NRD is in the process of migrating to a Department of Defense (DoD) web hosting environment. As a result of this migration, there will be a brief service interruption for the NRD. All links, forms, feeds, and Web Badges will be temporarily inactive. When the NRD returns to normal service, it will be available at

The NRD remains a tri-agency initiative among the Departments of Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs. Maintaining and improving the NRD will continue to be a priority. The NRD is being relocated to a DoD hosting environment with the intent of improving the site’s capabilities for users in the future.

The NRD represents one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for service members, veterans, families and military caregivers, with a particular emphasis on resources for wounded, ill and injured service members. With a unique collection of more than 17,000 organized and vetted resources, the NRD provides information on a variety of topics, including benefits and compensation, education and training, family and military caregiver support, health, homeless assistance, housing, and other services and resources.

The NRD’s participation policy continues to use crowdsourced data points from watchdog organizations in addition to government data sources to ensure the quality of resources on the site.

Follow Warrior Care Policy on Facebook and Twitter for ongoing updates.

While the NRD is unavailable, resources for service members, veterans, families and military caregivers can be found in the 2016 Caregiver Resource Directory, the 2016 DoD Compensation and Benefits Handbook and by visiting Military OneSource.
