The National Resource Directory (NRD) is Online
After a brief service interruption during a migration to a Department of Defense (DOD) hosting environment, the NRD has resumed normal service. Visit www.nrd.gov to find more than 17,000 organized and vetted resources for service members, veterans, families, and military caregivers.
The NRD remains a tri-agency initiative among the Departments of Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs. Maintaining and improving the NRD will continue to be a priority. The NRD has been relocated to a DOD hosting environment with the intent of improving the site’s capabilities for users in the future.
The NRD represents one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for service members, veterans, families and military caregivers, with a particular emphasis on resources for wounded, ill and injured service members. With a unique collection of more than 17,000 organized and vetted resources, the NRD provides information on a variety of topics, including benefits and compensation, education and training, family and military caregiver support, health, homeless assistance, housing, and other services and resources.
The NRD’s participation policy continues to use crowdsourced data points from watchdog organizations in addition to government data sources to ensure the quality of resources on the site.
