This month, we will bring you inspirational stories captured by the Department of Defense highlighting inspirational stories of overcoming adversity and challenges.
This week, we highlight former Staff Sergeant Jonathan Hosley (U.S. Army), who was originally
profiled by Defense Media Activities as a part of their Wounded Warrior Diaries Series by Lt. Jennifer Cragg.
In April of 2009, Staff Sergeant Hosley became the first Amputee Graduate of Warrant Officer School. He was injured in Iraq in 2004 by an improvised explosive device, and had his left leg amputated below the knee.
This is his story of challenge, adversity, and overcoming.
