Dr. Clifford Stanley, the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, is now blogging on DoDLive each Tuesday with updates on wounded warrior care, family support and other personnel and readiness issues.  Read his first blog entry. Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has been a regular on DoDLive with the Chairman’s Corner.  Yesterday, Cheryl Pellerin from American Forces Press Service posted about Admiral Mullen’s recent visit with hundreds of members of the National Association of Counties. The Chairman reminded them that transitioning Service members are “able to deliver a huge upside potential.” He asked that in welcoming them back, local communities “create a bridge as they transition from this military experience to the experience back home.” In April, the theme of National County Government Month will be Serving Our Veterans, Armed Forces and their Families.  Admiral Mullen added that: “once you get into creating opportunities for these young men and women, they will continue to serve for decades to come.”
