Are you an active duty wounded, ill or injured Service member looking for an internship opportunity?
Operation Warfighter (OWF) is a Department of Defense internship program that matches qualified wounded, ill and injured Service members with non-funded federal internships in order for them to gain valuable work experience during their recovery and rehabilitation. This process assists with the Service members’ reintegration to duty, or transition into the civilian work environment where they are able to employ their newly acquired skills in a non-military work setting.
OWF enables Federal employers to better familiarize themselves with the skill sets and challenges of wounded, ill and injured Service members as well as benefit from the considerable talent and dedication of these individuals.
Our Regional Coordinators
OWF’s Regional Coordinators – one of our 10 Regional Coordinators will work with you to explore your potential career interests, build your resume, and provide you with opportunities for additional training, experience, and networking. The internship opportunities will positively impact your rehabilitation and reintegration.
OWF is a win-win for wounded, ill and injured Service members and the Federal government.
You are part of a tremendous talent pool that Federal hiring managers are searching for to fill critical vacancies – and they’re willing to train you!
If you are a wounded, ill or injured Service member looking for an opportunity like this or are a Transition Coordinator and know of a wounded, ill or injured Service member who would benefit from OWF, please contact us at OSD.OWF@mail.mil or contact your OWF Regional Coordinator today!
