Care Coordination Summit Day 1

The Wounded Warrior Care Coordination Summit got down to business this morning. After opening remaks by Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Wounded Warrior Care and Transition Policy John Campbell, the working groups set about finalizing objectives and outcomes for their topic areas, then set to work on best practices.

Care Coordination Summit to Establish Best Practices for Wounded Warrior Care Coordinators

The Office of Wounded Warrior Care and Transition Policy is hosting a Wounded Warrior Care Coordination Summit March 28 through 31. Organizers have established an online forum where wounded warriors, their families, care coordinators, and others with an interest in and knowledge of wounded warrior care issues are invited to leave comments, suggestions and feedback on the objectives and desired outcomes of each working group.

From Surviving to Thriving - Wounded Warriors are Changing the Face of America

After September 11th, 2001, another generation of inspiration was born, and a new American story was bred on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines returned home with unique challenges, and peerless spirit. Some joined the ranks of the elite wounded warrior atheletes, most others meet their challenge, and in turn challenge us on a daily basis with little fan fare -- but with no less acolades. These are their stories.
